If only our MP's showed the same common sense as you, @raisingirl.

I'm coming to the conclusion that most MPs have spent their lives in a bubble and have no clue how running a business actually works. They may even believe - or have believed - the old 'well the people who grow strawberries in Spain will want a deal' trope as well. It's just not how business works. I really hope enough of them have started to ask some serious questions and begun to realise it's not that simple.

I wonder why the 15% have confidence in the government. Maybe they know something we don't

I was a member of the Labour Party, for most of my adult life, left last year because I can't stand what Corbyn is doing.
During the last election, I actively campaigned for Labour, and was really proud that we got a Labour MP for the first time in the history of this seat. What a disaster he has turned out to be.

Maybe they're related to them or part of the gravy train which supports them?

How often do we hear MPs say , usually after some  misdemeanour, " I won't be standing at the next election"?
The reason they sit it out, is that if they resign mid term, they don't get their MP's pension, but if they hang on, they do, no matter how badly they've behaved.
