Morning all. Thanks for the nice comments re " the allotment " @Obelixx, those beds are 3.6m x 1m which means I never have to stand on them as I can reach from both sides. Coal face today and Hubby says we had heavy rain overnight. I was out for the count.
Monring all/afties,evening Pat.Hope you're ok and have been taking it easy today. Obelixx- you could always just set hubby up in the hen house.... Murky and damp here Dove. There's fog around up here too, and I certainly can't see the windfarm today, but I'd call that low cloud. There's always a debate about when cloud becomes fog or mist isn't there? LG - it really does pay to get supports in but I'm usually late to the party with that too. I bought some of the rusted iron ones last year, and they're still in place for bigger clumps of 'stuff' anyway. Fairly invisible. I did tie in some clematis yesterday as that's the thing I'm always late with. Wrangling - as you say! BL - I've never found Voltarol has much effect on my hands. Maybe mine are beyond help though
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Great "allotment", Hosta! Will you need to retire, to have enough time to cultivate it all? Just remembering the photos of your new flower bed next to the drive... lots to do, never enough time to do it...
LG - did you get round to turning your compost? Or - like me - did you get distracted on the way, and end up doing lots of (far more interesting) gardening jobs instead??
We have murk too, Fairy. I'm out helping in the park this morning, but at least it's not raining or freezing...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Nah, of course I didn't do it, Liri! It went on to the bottom of a *very* long list. I did get lots of other things done though, so I don't feel guilty. Have fun in the park - hope you don't get rained on.
Dull and cool here, and it's due to rain this afternoon, so the plan is to finish off a few garden things this morning in case I'm indoors for ages. Haven't started yet though...
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
No murk but grey and dull. Mild so not bad. We have a few spots of rain too.
I have machine patch class this pm so need to cut out my bits. OH has golf so both having a day off painting and digging.
BL you garden is lovely. I really like that hummocky weeping tree.
LG - had a dress like the one with all the darts and in similar fabric too. Loved it. Didn't like the ribbon and lace trim tho the basic dress was OK. Didn't like the winner at all - horrid fabric and those shoulder yolk dresses have never suited me.
As for supports, I have, of course, brought some metal obelisks and rods with me and will be making some more of the bendy kind.
Hosta, the wood we've used comes in 2.5m lengths so need just one cut to make them half width. He couldn't be bothered. Humph. I'll wait till he's dug me some new beds before I risk the grumps he will perform if made to fix it.
Pat - It's a lot to take in and a lot to handle. Take it one bit at a time if you can and use the garden or your colouring or jigsaws as distractions while your brain processes info. Hugs.
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Hi all. Back to more normal February weather. Have just had a bonfire, something I really love doing, must be the caveman in me. Couldn't find a mammoth to barbecue.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Sunshine has disappeared and the sky is overcast 😞 but we’ve turned out the blanket chest and found a load of stuff for the charity shop pile, two pairs of jeans that aren’t too tight any more 😇 and a pile of knitting wool odds and sods ... some may be enough to make something for skinny @WonkyWomble , the rest will make woolly hats scarves and mittens ... one day 😉 I’ve also got a pan of squash and red pepper soup on the go for lunch ... it’ll be ready to put through the pulverized in about half an hour or so. Would you believe that niece of ours who broke her leg then then her foot at judo a couple of years ago now has a broken hand cos someone stamped on it in rugby at college yesterday 🙄

3C so no frost here and another bright and dry day in the offing ... not as warm as down your way @hosta but mild nevertheless.
@Pat E ((hugs)) ... as I used to tell Wonky, you can eat an elephant, as long as you do it one lump at a time ...
