Another glorious day here - we haven't had so many continuous fine sunny days since last August. We did notice a fog bank out at sea this morning, so perhaps that will come over the island once the heat of the day has gone. However right now we are having calm, sunny weather with not a cloud in sight.
No frost cloudy but dry, CH sensor 16, hoping rain keeps off we have a tree that needs felling today, a tree that was found with another plant we bought about 25 years ago, now too large.
It’s now been raining heavily since 4pm Monday, flooded garden, topsoil washed away from some beds, very lively waterfalls crashing down the terraces, now thunder and lightening, intermittent electricity.
Worse to the east and north of us - 220,000 homes in Girona province are totally without electricity, roads impassable, motorway to the french border was blocked by heavy snowfalls yesterday, more snow expected later.
It’s expected to continue until tomorrow afternoon.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
