Morning all/afties, evening Pat. Hope all goes well for hubby on Tuesday. Is he allowed to drink as much as he likes? Don't want him being dehydrated in that horrible heat No drams here LP - just tea. Men are here to do the scaffold. Forecast is a bit hideous for later, but he reckons they'll only be a couple of hours. It's a tad breezy, so hopefully there won't be any scaffold poles going where they shouldn't! Not sure any birds will be around for counting today, although Mrs Blackie was in for a bit of apple while the men got ready. I'll try tomorrow, as Monday will be out of the question. Forgot to sort photos from Thursday when we had a beautiful morning sky
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning everyone! Hi Pat, hope you manage to keep your cool today...
Hope Moira (and Punkdoc) had a good night.
We're waiting for the boiler engineer (again). Sometimes I long for the days of the old, inefficient, non-computerised boiler, when you just had to re-light the pilot when it blew out overnight. This lovely modern efficient one turns itself off at the slightest hint of a problem, and gives you an error code on its display which doesn't appear in the manual, so you look it up on line where it tells you something incomprehensible about pressure differential between inlet and outlet. Remembering previous experience with computers, you switch it off and on again. Sometimes it works... this time, not...
Not sure when to start the Birdwatch. The best viewing spot is sitting on the blanket box next to the bedroom window, but the boiler is in the airing cupboard, in the bedroom, so I'd be in the engineer's way.
Back to marmalade making, I think.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Morning all. That sky is beautiful! Monday is probably the best day for my Big Bird Count - unless the tree surgeon is coming as I don’t suppose they will appreciate that. I need to go to the pet shop today so I’ll see what bird treats they have. Have a good day all.
