Concert was good, kids are going to be very tired in school tomorrow . Dove, I was completely wrong - consulted the wrong bit of paper - 3 orchestral songs, not 4 final songs! Still lovely. And the Wagner was fab. My girl looked right at home

    Glad you're feeling better, Obxx.

Well done AuntyR - you'll have fun with that.

Been thinking of you Fairy 🧚🏻‍♀️

Glad the concert went well LG 🎻🎻🎻.  Was Bow on the Barbican stage? If so, what a thrill for her, and you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I’m not one for gardening in freezing temperatures either Lizzie 🥶 .....it’ll be March before I’m weeding.  Seed sowing on windowsills is, however, only a month away 😀😀🌱😀😀

Hello all. I’m trying to plan a gardening day here, but I’m not sure whether to believe the weather forecast of violent thunderstorms etc, or to treat their forecast with a grain of salt. They haven’t done well so far. 😁

And yes, Fairy,I’m dying to hear how you got on with your lovely news.

    sleep well!

Well we got the thunder and lightning plus a few drops of rain about an hour ago, but all’s quire now. I did manage to transplant some tomato and basil seedlings into the garden and also got two large loads of washing out and then in before the storm.

How lovely to wake up to news of basil and tomato plants 😀😀🍅🌱.  Makes me feel very summery sat here in the gloom of an English January 😎.

    Does sound lovely  :)

Dark and dismal here so far   :/. but ‘... if winter comes can
    spring be far behind?’

Hi Chicky and Dove. Yes, I love the smell of tomato and basil too. They are looking very happy in the ground, so I’m hoping they’ll get a move on. We’ve just had a huge storm pass over. Lots of thunder, lightning and heaps of rain. All good for the garden.😃

    morning all .
The forecast yesterday said it was to be cloudy today, but there's not a cloud in the sky. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

    Morning all/afties,evening Pat.
Apologies for not keeping you all updated  ;)
All fine - my lovely colleague was delighted for me, and the short story is that I'm leaving at end of this month. The boss isn't really speaking to me anyway just now, so whether this will prompt her is anyone's guess. Frankly, I'm beyond caring.  :D
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone  :)
What talented children you have LG. Exhausting though! You must be incredibly  proud of them  :)
Basil and tomato sounds lovely Pat - glad you're getting some rain for the garden.
Bit wild here yesterday and overnight again, but all seems calm this morning.
I'll try and have a quick catch up and a look round before I go. Have a good day everyone - stay warm, dry, and in Hosta's case - unburnt...

Morning Pat, Hosta and all to come
sounds nice and warm  Hosta, have the noisy neighbours gone?

i moved into the spare room last night as there was a very loud bluebottle fly we couldn’t catch. It actually seemed quite aggressive and kept coming at me.  Had a lovely cosy night sleep and much quieter on that side.   Think I may have to have summer and winter bedrooms. I think they used to do that long long ago?
the labarynthitis is defo a bit better. Might venture outside today, but it is a bit depressing and the weeds are soooooo bad. Anyone else noticed they have not died off this winter?
Fairy, hope they haven’t locked you up!
might just have another coffee, it’s still so dark!
morning Punk if you looking in, hope oh ok
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.”
