Ah! It must be irritating. You’re probably used to peace and quiet where you live.
As a matter of interest, do you appen to know how to keepharvested garlic in good condition? I’ve had mine hanging on the back veranda for some time now, but decided to take some of the dried skin off to tidy them a bit, and a couple of them have gone soft. I suspect they might be rotten.

    Good morning/ Gday all  :)

hope you managed to get some sleep @Hostafan1

Whenever ive grown garlic I’ve used it up pretty quickly. The internet says humidity can cause problems. Wikihow tells you how to mince them dry garlic in a dehumidifier like you do the herbs @Pat E ... that might be a solution?

More weird dreams ... someone stole one of my driving shoes and replaced it with a pointy stiletto heeled one which surprisingly fitted and was comfortable ...  :/

Well just call you cinders. Maybe your subconscious is telling you to get jazzed up and go out a bit more. These days I can walk about 50yds in heels. If I have to get dressed up for a wedding etc, I have a pair of flats in the bag for dancing in.  Oh for the days when I could dance all night in 4 inch heels.

Morning all, Dove you clearly want to be Cinderella! Glad Wonky found her perfect partner!

Pat heard about the cool change, thank goodness much more comfortable. Hope oh not been called out

Hosta did you not have any earphones you could have plugged into? I always take them. Been known to plug into when not actually listening to anything. Folks leave you in peace!

its a hideous day here, mist rolling nearer and nearer.  I am soooo fed up being in. Feels like weeks Today does not seem a day to venture out with sore ears
physio texted at 8 am bless her to say she is home from Oz and will be working tomorrow. Here’s hoping she can see me. I believe the exercise for labarynthitis is good but you must be taught it properly

have a great day, stay safe

OH is working today. I will start to go through the paperwork for this festival funding proposal ... it’s all a bit woolly and fluffy and unprofessional ... it needs to be SMARTened up and brought into the 21st century .... hmmm  :/

Morning ladies. We are watching the train travelling from Perth to Sydney. It’s huge. Boring movie effort though. No commentary, just a written comment now and then.

Dove, I’ve lifted about 50 garlic plants, so there a bit too many for chopping and drying in the machine, besides, I prefer it fresh. 😏 Hubby said he read somewhere that it should be stored somewhere cool and dry. He suggested hanging them in the garage. It is lined and insulated, so it wouldn’t be too extreme. Might have to give it a try.

I find that soft neck garlic keeps for about 6 months in a cool dry dark place (the garage sounds perfect). The hard neck stuff rots within about 2 months, so I eat some green and pickle the rest. It's not too intensive to do - you do have to break up the cloves and blanch them, but then it's just a matter of putting them in jars and covering them with hot spiced vinegar. It's really nice to use, pickled garlic. Milder than fresh garlic, but still very garlicky and good in things like spag bol  :)
