Singapore. :|  I'd like to think people will boycott Dyson products now but I doubt the majority even have the sense to care.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I hope that the future of the country won't depend on the morons who would spend £400 on a hairdryer.

We bought our bloody Dyson before he b*****ed off to Singapore where his labour costs are lower.  It was paid for with part of OH's retirement prezzie from work so I let him choose the model.   Never again.

You wouldn't catch me eating in a Wetherspoon's either, even if I fancied the food.

I know of a couple of people who worked for Dyson, one of them had a nervous breakdown due to the pressure they were placed under, and the other couldn't get out of there fast enough. Haven't heard anything since  then to make me change my mind.

Re oiks descended from royalty:  the further back you take your family tree, the more likely you are to find an interesting ancestor.  Not such a big gene pool back then... my dad's side of the family is supposed to be descended from Alfred the Great.  I've never burnt a cake, though.   :)

Might try and watch it this Thursday
Wetherspoons have great Real Ales and support different small Breweries, as you can guess a fan 🍻

According to the geneticist Adam Rutherford “the chance that someone born in the 1970s was not related to Edward III was vanishingly small, at 0.0000000000000000000000000001 .”

The odds of not being directly related to Alfred the Great are therefore almost infinitesimally small.

GW - I don't like beer either tho I can just about cope with Guinness if it's in a chocolate cake.
