That sounds painful and frustrating AnniD. Good luck with getting it treated.
KT - steak and beef would be low on my list of meat choices but I do love well brought up meat and poultry. It's only for a week so I'm sure I'll cope but I'm better at veggie dishes where dairy and eggs are allowed.
GW - Our robot is a NEATO which is good with dog and cat hairs and is like an old-fashioned carpet sweeper (remember those Ewbanks from the 50s and 60s) except that it has a battery and a home station for re-charging and can be programmed to go off when you want and in which room, tho it can't climb stairs so you need to take it up and downstairs. It has a built in navigator so it moves round the whole room or floor under its own steam. It's very polite and gives messages such as Please empty my dirt bag or Please clean my brushes or Please clear my path............
B3 - I creak and grown more when I've been too busy to get my daily walkies with OH and the dogs. Exercise keeps things at bay.

Your robot sounds a bit like a dalek. They had stair issues too. It never occurred to me when I watched Dr Who as a child. A bit like in westerns when it would've all been over if the Indians / bandits had thought to shoot the front horse of the stage coach.

Or if the guards/security men/evil henchmen all jumped the hero at once rather than running in one at a time

Thanks Obelixx, l feel curmudgeonly with myself, because l kept putting off going to see the podiatrist (classic case of thinking "it'll sort itself out") which of course made it ten times worse, so l only have myself to blame. Still it is improving and l am going stir crazy garden wise, so am going to do a bit of tidying over the next couple of days while the weather is mild. Strict instructions not to overdo it, of course
I couldn't find my normal Nescafe decaf in the supermarket so got their decaf Gold Blend. It's undrinkable and leaves a sludge in the bottom of the cup. Quick Google search finds hundreds of complaints about the same problem. Now I need to find a different decaf - not happy.

Those old westerns had huge holes in their plots but I do enjoy the James Stewart, John Wayne, Ben Johnson era films.
