That's like us Liri. We have the sign for the "lieu-dit" (said place) right outside our house but satnavs think it's round the corner in another road named after it's lieu-dit. Houses here (and in Belgium) have a house number provided by the local council so fire, ambulance and police can identify them in the event of emergencies.
Took the pussies to the vet today for annual jabs including rabies boosters and that was a princely 130€ for the pair. All fine except for Cosmos getting stressed and peeing in his basket on the way. We have discovered there is a crack in the base so the car's back seat is now smelly and needs a good clean. The joys of pet parenthood.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I've only just read back quickly and saw your news W.edges. Congratulations - it'll all be fine. Don't let folk tell you otherwise.... At least you've fixed your hoover [yes I said hoover ] as you won't have time for fixing anything for the next twenty years or so.
Ironically I imagine with two boys running around a lot more is going to get broken. I've already got a long list of things that will need fixing before this new fella turns up.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Nowt to do with anything we're discussing but maybe a scientist or a local could explain a phenomenon that has puzzled me for some time.
As you approach the sea through Hastings town, you can look down a steep main road -it might be the high street but I don't know the town well enough to say . From the top of the road, you can see the horizon, which appears to be up at your eye level with a vertical wall of sea underneath. How is this?
Our neighbour about 2 miles away had the same postcode as us, and were easier to find so we spent a lot of time driving back and forth to bring/collect mail and parcels. i complained to the council and they gave us a post code of our own but it took a while for it to filter through to sat navs.

The horizon is always at eye level.
