I was going to say you could send the cake by carrier pigeon but lift off would be difficult with Christmas cake.

Hope all the poorlies feel better soon.

    Night all.

Good morning all. Clodding down again! Ah well mustn't complain. Lovely to hear from T'Bird on her travels. PF - the only way is up. No way could you have a back to back shocker like yesterday! Hope I've not just put the kiss of death on that. Just seen on the Beeb a video of the tiny female Scottish wild cat born at Chester Zoo. Absolutely gorgeous.

I think that is one of the reasons I view smart meters as an expensive waste of time. Like F'edge, I'm lucky in that I have economy seven which is non-compatible with a smart meter. Would a smart meter make me save money - short answer: no. If I wanted to make a cup of tea whilst using a hairdryer I would carry on as normal. If I need to use it, I will is my attitude. Too bad if you live in a poor reception area so that your service provider cannot get the readings from your meter and what happens if you have all the fun and games with your wifi service provider as I have had over the past two years with VM. I  can see lots of problems ahead. Oh and meter readers will lose their jobs.

Somebody's house alarm is now into its second 20 minute session. As usual everyone ignores it - including the house owners it would appear. I don't hear it very loudly because of the double glazing but I suspect that the high winds here may have set it off.
Hope you remember what you are venturing into Sheffield for today PF

MorningPansy andLB . That sounds very depressing . Who the heck wants to watch how much money you are spending Second to second . And there are still problems with the ruddy things, so how do you know that the readings are correct .Not for me .I will wait until I have no  choice . Got a gravelly throat this morning . Think I will be planning today .
Perhaps do some knitting . Best wishes to all those under the weather.

Lucky you Ruby.  Grey, wet and windy here so I'll be reading or watching tv for the rest of the day.

LB, do you feel any better today?
