I think that we have all done that kind of thing . OH and me were sitting in our pjs one Saturday night when the phone rang ,it was my cousin asking why we were not with them at her husband birthday party . The birthday party was in a hotel thirty miles away and we didn’t have a car at the time . We thought that party was in two weeks .We couldn’t get there
Yup MU - been busy getting ready. Drove 40 miles to collect the serviced lawnmower, been to SM, been to library, posted overseas cards, bought last of OH’s presents (his b’day is 21st so double trouble), finished wrapping presents (except OH’s), visited neighbour to check she can still keep an eye on things while we’re away, chatted with FIL who is celebrating his 88th b’day today, put a wash on, made dinner etc etc ... I’m flippin’ exhausted now. Had a cup of tea at 7.30am - next one was at 5pm - just forgot to eat and drink. Just chillin’ now!
Very sad to read about that war memorial. You all know I like a little drinkie-poos - but never if I’m driving. Unforgiveable. On the local news last night they reported a driver was arrested on Sunday who had one of the highest blood alcohol levels ever recorded in a drink-drive case. More than 5 times the legal limit. Arrested after being spotted driving along the pavement in the town centre. Some people are so selfish & irresponsible.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Evening M-U. The nearest I got to decorating was moving a giant aspidistra from the living room into the dining room thus giving place for the Christmas tree tomorrow. I reckon its safe to put the full word in now as we are in December and cards and pressies have been mentioned. Tomorrow I have no need to go out ANYWHERE so I have designated it dekkie day - in my house anyway. I have warned Lily that it will be noisy and disruptive to her sleep patterns.
