Ouch Hazel. I remember my friend having to have hers out years ago, she was admitted to hospital with the worst pain she'd ever experienced (including childbirth), was dosed up to the eyeballs on morphine in the days leading up to the op.
Hi Fedge. Not my birthday, not my carrot. A gift for T1 from her soppy boyfriend. It's Kevin, off the tv ads for a certain supermarket.
Keyhole surgery Hazel I had mine out in 2009. It was agonising as Kitty says but the morphine was bliss! She'll be right as rain in no time. They only kept me in overnight as I was last on the list, otherwise I could have been home on the day - conveyor belt jobby. Back home the next day.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Have now stopped cursing the builder who laid the floor tiles in the utility at the same slope as the old wonky floor, and the wash mash fitters who didn't twiddle the feet on the new one last week 😠. Have got it from squint to straight myself, but boy was it heavy.
Is it a routine visit Chey? Hope it goes well 👍. Which is your favourite market stall... sausages or hot chocolate? 😉 Did you get to the Manchester markets yet? You won't catch me setting foot near them but my daughter's been a few times this year and enjoyed it. Last chance to see zippy on the town hall, they're moving it all next year.
Hazel, my friend was so much better after her op. The only gripe she had was having to cut down her cheese eating habits.
Kitty. Sometimes you have to just get on a do it yourself. I ordered a washing machine a few years ago, which was duly delivered and plonked in its box in the kitchen. Silly me thought it would be fitted by the men, but no, they drew me a little diagram on the box telling me what to do and left. I did manage to get it out of its box plus all the internal packing, read the instructions, heave it under the work surface, having first removed the fridge which was hampering the angle I could get it in. Attached the pipes and hoped for the best. It is still working fine to this day, but it took me ages to get it unpacked and in position.
Hazel - has your daughter come round yet after her op - hope she's OK.
Thats what happened to me. I was itching to get home - felt perfectly fine but they insisted. Like I say - if I had been done earlier in the day I could have gone home. I was back to normal the next day. Just had 4 tiny punctures where they put the instruments in with dinky little soluble stitches so I didn't have to have anyone come out to remove them. Not even sore the next day either.

Small filling required next month. New hygienist who is very pleasant and gentle.
Not been to the Christmas market yet - will they be there between Christmas and New year?
