    I do love it when people want to censor all content on a forum to suit their own ideals and then accuse others of bigotry.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Thanks @Dovefromabove. I found that post a bit upsetting. 
    Having an Irish surname in the 70s gave me some idea of what it feels like to experience racism. Total strangers would assume I was as thick as 💩, enjoyed an Irish joke and was probably a bomber. 
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Very true @Zoe P2 ... but we 'white' folk are rarely '...  judged by the color of their (our) skin ...' and that's what we're talking about isn't it?

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Some people can only hate, Dove.  Colour, religion, height, weight, you name it, those born to hate, or brought up in such an environment, will use each as a...reason(!!!) for hating somebody.  There are also those who like to grow fat on the exploitation of those they've labelled, "low skilled"; another term of abuse, and they try their hardest to keep them there. 

    As far as I know, the populations of all EU countries are white; yet, the hatred xenophobes, racists, ignoramuses and their ilk display is vicious, especially for the Poles, perhaps the blondest of all EU people.

    We'd better learn to love each other or we'll die.

    I agree, Dove.  I only meant that colour in itself and of itself is not the cause of anything but the excuse such people use. 

    Sam has put it more fully, more clearly and utterly unambiguously.
