I'm not moaning but I'm not Pollyanna either.  I'm making observations.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

It would be interesting to see where the government will manage to bury bad brexit news once interest in the virus wanes.
We shall be fed and no doubt rejoice with relief at the many myths of the enormous successes of "liberation"...

    Absolutely!

Who can lie better than that red bus?
  • As a side issue - those photos of hundreds of lorries parked up - is a Police policy - Operation Stack.  When I was running large building sites I had to write up vast safety reviews every week - at least one hundred questions. Are Fire Regulations being followed? Is there the correct number of extinguishers of the right type available and in the proper place? Are all staff advised of being Fire Safe - are regular drills carried out. Basically, if it had been possible to accommodate even a small proportion shown - my site would have been closed down.

Then there were hygiene and sanitation questions, access questions, roadways, security etc., etc., I can't for the life of me see how Stack passes any of them.

A mate of mine manufacturers equipment that lays the lines on roads - he exports in a small way. He sent some stuff to Ireland on the cusp of Brexit and one pallet crossed into the south but a few essential bits were delayed by a couple of days and now they've still not made to the customer - the paperwork has gone ping-pong three times so far and each time it's checked it costs £37

I'm the only bloke he knows that voted Remain.

“Mr Trump …..is facing numerous civil and criminal cases, relating both to his years in the White House and his pre-presidential life.”

Yes, but the Donald has mates in very high places, so I'm not holding my breath...
