The break was wonderful, thank you Sam.  We came back yesterday.  Just like today, there was plenty of sunshine here too but very cold.
Today I was enormously busy all day long and I imagine it's going to be all-systems-go from now till Christmas!
We have some photographs and I will upload one or two when I have a little time to sit and look at them closely.
Hope you've been behaving yourself while I was away. 😂

Yesterday afternoon, the lady with whom I met often when dog walking before her heart attack, phoned to ask me if I could take her dog out with mine as her daughter had already returned to her home but her son (who has a mental illness) refused to do it because he’s afraid he’ll catch the latest COVID variant. She sounded at the end of her tether.  Of course, I said yes.

When I saw her, it seemed to me her skin was kind of grey and her features pinched.  I thought just a few days in hospital was probably insufficient in her case but I was quite relieved to hear that  she was expecting a visit from the nurse.

    Nothing like feeling hopelessly inadequate.

You should feel nothing of the sort.  You can't cure her son.  Obviously it's stressful for her but hopefully, she is on the mend and still has medical support.
Helping in ways we can, it's the only thing any of us can do.  Chin up!

     TRUE, so CHIN UP!

How's the weather at your end of the woods today?  Managed to take the dogs out yet?

Feeling much better after seeing her today.  She seemed less distraught.
We took our dog and hers for a walk, just before the rain came.
Generally, the weather hasn't been too bad.  Sunny in the morning, rain later, slightly windy but very cold.
