Poignant observations, of course, but not depressing. Change is inevitable. We constantly change from the moment we're born. My grandmother, who resented certain aspects of ageing, used to say, "Act my age? WHY?" and with some conviction she would add, "Youth is a gift of Nature; Age is a work of Art."
At our Social Club meeting today, I felt tired and uninterested, so I just sat there. One of my friends noticed my low mood and decided to make me laugh. She sent me this text:
"Alex (her husband) and I have started role playing in the bedroom. My favourite is 'sexy librarian'. He has to sit quietly while I read a book."

YOU KNOW YOU'RE GETTING OLDER WHEN:
1. You can go an entire day without taking one picture with your mobile phone.
2. You have to increase your font size to "Billboard."
3. You get carpal tunnel syndrome because you have to scroll down so far to find your year of birth.
4.You realize that the punishments as a child like: naps, being grounded, and not being allowed to go to parties, are now your personal preferences.
5. You no longer refer to your knees (or hips) as left and right, they are now the "good" one and the "bad" one.
AS I GET OLDER
1 - I talk to myself, because there are times I need expert advice.
2 - I consider "On Trend" to be the clothes that still fit.
3 - I don't need anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off.
4 - My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance for idiots that needs work.
5 - The biggest lie I tell myself is, "I don't need to write that down. I'll remember it."
I have a dream that my.. children.. one day.. will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character
Martin Luther King1 Lately, I've noticed people my age are so much older than me.
2 "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering why I'm there.
3 Some days I have no idea what I'm doing out of bed.
4 I thought growing old would take longer.
5 Aging has, definitely, slowed me down, but it hasn't shut me up.
