Don't forget, you can unlawfully prorogue Parliament, lie to the queen and not resign; you can push through an Internal Market Bill which breaks International Law and not resign.....
    Morality?
    Ethics?
    Honour?
These are not known to the current Tory crowd at No 10.

"...Trump has dismissed the investigations as “the greatest witch-hunt in history”.

    There is a surprise!

  • And to think that they were, actually, voted in.  It would seem people love liars...

This morning I was watching the news on BBC1, when there was a brief interview with Omid Djalili.  The subtitles were on, so I noticed that his name appeared as "Doolally"!
I truly feel sorry for those who rely on the subtitles to make sense of any programme.

I saw that interview too, but missed the.. accurate subtitles.  However, I laughed out loud when he revealed that he calls his tour, The Good Times Tour(!!).  Such perfect irony, for what else could be more fitting in the time of a fearful pandemic?

They're a great laugh sometimes and if they're being done by a human, you can sometimes work out their accent by the mistakes they make when they're flustered.
I wish they would use some form of texting for live news etc. The subtitles are so far behind as to render them almost useless. Most of us have some familiarity with texting and their use for basic words would free up time to type unfamiliar words properly.
    e.g.
    +  or & , @, 2, L8, W8, gr8, infl8, U , R   - that kind of thing

I have some hearing and use them as a back up.

  • My own hearing is fine.  Late at night, when one of us is still watching tv, we turn the sound very low and, occasionally, turn on the subtitles in order to avoid the constant raising/lowering of the sound.
