When my father  in law (a Historian) first saw MM, on the day Harry announced their engagement, his reaction was, "I think she may be trouble."

I don't imagine you mentioned the fact that he's a historian randomly.  I have a feeling he was making a historical connection with another American divorcee in the life of our royal family??  Or am I totally wrong! :|

At least MM was successful  in her career through her own talents and effort, not because she was the daughter of one of the landed nobility like her late MIL. Now there really was someone totally unsuited for that particular marriage.

Did I miss something? I spotted misogyny definitely, and some anti-Americanism probably. Americans are no more a race than we are.
But I think we definitely need more giggle.

When I was doing my w/e shopping today, I noticed that many people's trolleys looked almost like this, but no flag!
