  • "Spy"is, probably, the right word for it!

I seem to remember that you were going to see a consultant about that memory incident.  Have you had your appointment yet?

Yes, I had it several weeks ago.

When I saw the consultant, he told me he too can never remember what he encloses with his Christmas cards every year because “when we’re sending off Christmas cards, we’re almost on automatic pilot.”(!!)

However, he did add that “an underactive thyroid can affect memory.”

I don't think there's anything much I can do about my thyroid! :/

  • Although not exactly "nothing", you must be very relieved it's not one of those dreadful other things. <3

Brexit Party MEP complains about not having say on EU law after Brexit

June Mummery said EU rules would still apply to Britain but that it would have no say

A Brexit Party MEP has prompted derision after complaining that Britain will have no representation at EU level after it leaves.

I take it, Dove, that June Mummery will be washing her hair on the 31, while the rest of the rabble rousers will be burning flags in...celebration!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Poorer areas that delivered Boris Johnson’s election triumph are facing fresh cuts to local services – as funds are switched to wealthy Southern shires instead.

Hundreds of millions of pounds will be diverted because of a new formula which significantly downgrades the importance of deprivation in assessing need, an analysis shows.

The shake-up will hurt high-profile Tory election gains including Workington, Stoke-on-Trent, Grimsby, West Bromwich, Sedgefield, Bishop Auckland and Redcar, it shows......

    I wish I were just a bit surprised :'(

But, I still hope the victory- granting populace will have a wonderful party with those gleaming 50p pieces jangling in their pockets.  There's a name for such a "victory", isn't there?

If the very idea of those "jangling" brexit coins is repellent to you, Helen, as it's to many millions of Brits who oppose this lunacy- though beloved by the rest, no doubt- you can collect them and donate them to help others.

On Facebook, and elsewhere, there are such suggestions: you could give them to Foodbanks or charities and organizations which help the homeless and those living in abject poverty.  Perhaps it is a way of making sure that something good comes out of the lunacy of brexit?

Will you be washing your hair on Friday????
