Exactly, Hosta.  Not that there isn't the occasional "bad egg", of course - I pass Harold Shipman's old house on my way to the shops - but you get bad eggs in any walk of life.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I agree , and nobody is saying it's perfect . Mostly , IMHO due to the constant interference by inept Health Secretaries and misguided "management".

Liri, so sorry to hear about your Mum. I understand how hard it is even though you were warned. I hope you and your family can cope.

  • Thank you, @Pat E.  It wasn't a tragedy - she was 97, had advanced Alzheimer's and had had a lovely life - so we are able to concentrate on the happy memories most of the time.  We'll miss her, but to be honest, because of the dementia we'd been missing her for some time already.   :)

  • That's tough, Diana.  I was very lucky to be there at the right time.  Thanks for your sympathy.

  • Liri, I have heard it said that the hearing is the last sense to go though as Doc  says we don't know how much understanding there is. So it was certainly worthwhile being there and telling her all the things you wanted to say.

I'll had my condolences Liri. Lovely that you were there and lovely for her to know she was loved and appreciated - because I'm sure she did. Virtual hugs from the fairy folk. xxx
I wrote a post this morning and pressed something and it vanished. Didn't have time to re do it  :/
Hope the fires don't cause an issue Pat. How is hubby keeping?
Have a lovely birthday and a great time with the wee chicklets, chicky  :) Sorry - no cakes to offer. Just have some old ones...

Glad you enjoyed the pix. I'm enjoying looking at them each day. The frost makes the lens misty so I'll have to find a way round that.
The frost/ice this morning brought a lovely clear sky and sun, but it's already cloudy in preparation for the horrible day we've to get tomorrow. High winds and rain from later tonight. I think I may be confined to barracks for most of Saturday.... :/
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Just back from the Docs' and Hubby's foot is healing nicely. The nurse reckons it'll be ok to leave undressed by about Tuesday.
