Morning all! Afternoon Pat, dry but grey here, we are going to the garden centre today, having a look at the Xmas decorations 😀, and having lunch there (Bradley gold garden centre) the food is all home made and they grow there own veg, they’ve also opened a butchers and deli too, I’ve got a voucher there as I’m a member so we are taking advantage 😀👍

Another bright and gleaming sunny day here.   Got all my garlic planted yesterday but not the onions as OH hasn't cleared the bed for them and, as I have a pulled trapezius, I'm not doing heavy lifting, weeding and hoeing at the mo.

Going dancing this pm.  There's a tea dance in a local hall about 10 mins away so we're off to check it out.

Hope your trip goes well Dove.  Enjoy your visitors Pat and you your GC trip Flumpy.   No cafés at GCs here.  That's more a Belgian thing and more Flemish than Walloon too.  I know one where people go for the food and never enter the plant shop.

FG - which camera did you get?

    Hi all.
    Grey and miserable here.
    Yesterday spent watching the rugby.
Not been up North yet, @Lily Pilly, but going soon, and then heading to Ballater to see MIL.

I hope your car is fixed then Pdoc.  Long way to drive but worth it.

Diana - too cold to sow grass seed now.  Wait till April.   Just keep the garden tidy now and concentrate on making indoors cosy but neutral and uncluttered as that will be more important to prospective buyers at this time of year.

I'd agree with Obelixx, Diana. Don't fret too much over the garden. A couple of pots at the front door will distract viewers from any damaged bits and bobs too :)
Good to see you doc. Has MIL's house dried out yet from  all the flooding three years ago?
What a disastrous spell that was. Not been up that way since they re-did all the road when it disappeared into the river. The castle escaped- just. Beautiful area, but at the mercy of the elements when it decides to have a 'square go', as we like to say here.
Obs - I can't remember off the top of my head about the camera, but I'll take a look later.   :)
Been busy outside, and it's really bonny in the watery sun. Double figures too, which is a bonus. Better get back out there and make hay [or something] while the sun shines  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

There were still a lot of empty shops, last time we were up @Fairygirl.
As you say the castle escaped, by a whisker.
I feel very fortunate to have free bed and board up there, even though i can no longer climb the hills. Love to sit and watch the Red Squirrels in MIL's garden.

Had a good afternoon in the garden. Garlic planted and last runner beans rescued from their pods then dug up together with hopefully the last of the spuds. A few volunteers from last year came up amongst the runner beans so I left them until the beans were finished. It seems that no matter how carefully I dig up spuds two things always happen - I miss some completely and I spear others with the fork. Also harvested some radish seeds from plants that bolted earlier in the year.

Checked on crinodendron seeds I planted fresh this year and they have germinated!

@diana 1 , a lot of non-gardener folk's idea of a garden is paving, grass and privet.  And maybe not even all of those.  I've been told that a garden that looks as if it might need a lot of time spent on it can put off some buyers, so keep it simple, at least at the front.
