It seems I live in a hellish landscape >:)  - in addition to the Devil's Punchbowl there are also the Devil's Jumps near Chicky in Churt.
I always knew you were a little devil, steephill... ;)
    Any cake left Dove?
    Hosta - rain? I ain't laughing...honest guv ... :D
What a smashing day it's been here. From 2 degrees at 8am, to 10 at lunchtime if you were in the sun. No wind. Lovely. Lots of things attended to outside, and some birdwatching as well.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

One of those cold and clear days today with the last of the Autumn leaves finding their way to my door mat ready to blow in when you open the front door.
Hope you all ok and enjoyed Sunday activities.

Devils Jumps are very close to me Steephill .....nice place for walking too.  Punchbowl is great without traffic Hosta 😀. Been out on the bikes today.  Some excitement with cows escaping from fields 🐮.

what a glorious sunny weekend we’ve had tho .....feel like we’ve made the most of it 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴🏻‍♂️

Spent the last half an hour on the phone helping littlest Chicklet get her application for a year studying abroad down from 900 to 700 words.  It became a bit like a crossword puzzle - how can you convey the same meaning with fewer words.  Done now though ✅

..and he had a face like a 'well skelped a*se'  a moment later ...

Glad you had a nice visit Dove. I made lentil soup today, but cake is infinitely more welcome after a busy day  ;)
I spent a while watching the birds feeding after I came in from the garden, with Johnnie Walker on the radio and been reminiscing with James and Joni on my new CD gadget. Simple pleasures, and a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon/evening.
I haven't been quite as energetic as chicky and Mr chicky unfortunately. Must get my hill mojo back. This has been exactly the right sort of day for a good walk.

Hello everyone, not been around for a while but thought I’d pop on and say hello. I’ve also got a problem with my Money plant and thought thought you lovely people might be able to help. Tx

Hello Sunflower Lady, hope you've been OK.

We came back to France today, landed at Limoges this afternoon. Had to take a detour around Thiviers as the "gilets jaunes" (yellow vests) were blocking the road protesting about President Macron and the rise in fuel prices. There have been riots and demonstrations all weekend, one person was killed and several hundred injured. Macron is no longer popular, people say he's arrogant and doesn't understand the needs of people who live in the country.

Spent the evening in front of the wood burner and the TV. Watched Dynasties about Emperor penguins, fantastic, but sad too. How can anything survive in those conditions?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Had my own encounter with the gilets jaunes yesterday Busy.  Not pleasant.   Macron, like far too many politicians in the developed world , doesn't understand life at ordinary level, especially in poorer urban areas and the countryside where services are poor and life can be a struggle.

I watched the penguins too.  So pleased when they showed the cameramen helping those birds stuck in the ravine.

Hello all. We’ve got a cloudless day here and a good temp predicted. Tomorrow and following days, they are expecting storms and rain with temperature drops and even snow on the peaks. Can’t work out what to wear from one day to the next. I changed the flannelette sheets for cotton yesterday. Typical!

I’m finding the 11 hour time difference hard to get my head around this year. When you are up, I’m in bed or watching evening tv.

I’m off to U3A Ukelele group shortly.

By by the way Fairy, I really love seeing your photos. I’m impressed with your rustic bird feeding station. Might show my daughter who is very handy.

    Catch up later.😊
