Quite right an' all - you've only got five toes on each foot, and no webbing between them... Hope you're having a grand birthday LP - did you have 27 candles?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I don't know if I mentioned Hubby tipping boiling water onto his foot last Thursday?? Anyway, he's now got a blister about 2"x3" and it's become infected. He's been told to take the week off work and rest with his foot up. He's livid about losing work/ money and having to be at home. ( dare I say I'm not too chuffed about it either? ) I told him bluntly, you either take time off and let it heal, or you'll be on holiday for 3 weeks ( 2 weeks from tomorrow ) and not be able to use the swimming pool , and probably still have an open wound which is not going to like being in flip flops. Men eh!!!!!!
the new government may want to re-think its rhetoric if it wants to balance its books.
I'm afraid it's not just Brazil. My fear is that the whole world seems to be shifting to the Right. Hatred and Bigotry of all sorts are on the rise in many places and discussed openly, even bragged about.
Daughter and 3 sons are here so we went out for the day. It was cold, only 5° this afternoon.
We've been to the Chateau de Milandes which belonged to Josephine Baker. Chateau was interesting and so was Josephine Baker who was a black American musical star who decided to live in France and adopted about 12 children. She got into debt, was cheated by the French, chateau was forcefully sold for much less than its value and she was kicked out. Yet she did so much for her village, supplying water and electricity and restored the chateau and was in the French resistance in the war.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I see we’re back to the 11 hours difference - sigh. It’s going to be hard to talk to you over there. Birthday greetings to Lilyp. Hope the holiday keeps on being good, even with the security thing. Our visitors will be arriving on Friday, so a bit of extra housework is needed in the spare room.
Good afternoon Pat, morning all, I will look out for your messages at dinner time and read back, we are back to the dark mornings and dark evenings now 🙁, I don’t like winter. Hope you get all your chores done.
