I'm hugely disappointed ... I've missed a potentially very useful talk at the U3A on 'How to be a Roman Emperor' .

Oh that's a shame Dove. I can give you a few clues from my own research. Eat too much cake. Develop any form of psychopathy and/or sociopathy you feel comfortable with. Wear a bedsheet.

I think they've stopped interviewing for that job now anyway. :#

Does anyone else think the U3A sounds a bit too much like a strange religious cult though?

Cheers @raisingirl ... first things first ... will have to make more cake ... only one slice left of the Courgette, raisin and pistachio cake I made the other day ...

@wild edges  ... I find most things sound like a strange religious cult if you say them often enough  :dizzy:

@Dovefromabove Any chance of your recipe? I don't have pistachios but would reckon hazlenuts might suffice? Got the courgettes though...…….

Is this oppressive humidity getting to anyone else? Maybe it's because I just spent a cool damp week in Edinburgh. Any of you deities in charge of weather sort it out PLEASE!

    It's a cracker.
My Lithuanian friend uses almonds in hers and blueberries in place of sultanas. Also very nice.
