“Can you tell me exactly ... “
”It is now officially ... “
Two overused and frequently unnecessary adverbs.

    >>When did "concerning" come to mean "worrying" instead of "of concern"?   And why do BBC reporters give the plural 3rd person verb to single unit subjects eg "government are"?<<

@hogweed I bet you've even got a fruit bowl with fruit in it  - now there's posh.

My fruit bowl is full of junk - fruit sits on the kitchen worktop or in the fridge!

Is it ever right to mention a verbal tic to a person, or do you hope it will wear off before someone sticks a sock in their mouth?

Taking of using several words when one will do, what gets me is ‘yumity, yumity yum, yum., why not tasty, nice or even gorgeous.

  • ‘Blue Sky thinking’ and ‘rocket science‘ anyone?

I remember an area social services conference when we were berated for not hitting budgetary targets that had been set for the services to provide support for the families of thd most seriously disabled and life-limited children.

‘It’s not rocket science’ was one of the phrases lobbed at us.

I stood up and said ‘I agree ... the principles involved in rocket propulsion are much more straightforward than meeting the needs of the children we work with.’

There was loud applause from the social workers and paediatricians in the room.

I'm a huge fan of yummity yum yum, but I'd never use the word "gorgeous" to describe the taste of food, maybe just how it looked .

So, at this moment in time, at the end of the day, it is what it is.
I personally, with all due respect, think you should feck right off.
