@NewBoy2 I was told nothing smaller than your elbow by my hearing lady I think it's all to do with pushing something in to far and damaging the eardrum, and of course I never do

Turmeric capsules usually have black pepper included and need to be taken with food preferably something containing fat. It's not an old wives remedy but Pilates is good if you can find a local class. Really helped my bad back.
When Wonky's hands were so swollen and sore from working out in the cold last winter she got some Turmeric capsules ... they worked wonders ... her GP was genuinely very impressed.

My OH has successfully used the latex of Chelidonium majus, (commonly known as greater celandine) for removing warts several times. We keep a few specimens at the bottom of the garden in case of future need.
Thought I would just do an update on my wart been using comfrey poultice as recommended and have to say it seems to be working the hard surface has gone and it's no longer irritating me

HH silver is also anti-bacterial as is honey. Poultices of any sort are great. Soap and sugar poultice would draw the brains out of you! (said the scientist...). You'll find if you look into old remedies a lot of them are based on sound science. Of course a lot of them are not!
@plant pauper As I mentioned before we always had silver nitrate in emergency medical packs and were told that if we had flesh wounds and no dressing to find a bees nest and use the honey and any old rag. This being one of the nicer alternatives
