Where is MY rain? ...

I'm forever living in hope, trusting the weather forecasts... but it's all in vain.  Not a single drop for weeks and weeks ... and weeks....
Looked on in envy at the thunderstorms and great downpours happening in other parts of the country and nothing but blue skies here.
Here's my poor old parched excuse for a garden ....

And here's a long-distant memory when it used to rain !

You're not alone - same here
At least there's some cloud at last so I can spend more than 2 minutes in the garden and a cool breeze - not had one of those in a long time. i may even start wearing clothes again :)

  • Unlucky, Pete.  I just spoke to a friend who lives no more than a few miles from Billericay... and it has thrown it down all evening!

And here.  The current 'storms' have resulted in one sprinkling, not even enough for the raindrops falling on the paving to join up before they evaporated!  59 days and counting..

I'm in East Anglia and I've been having tropical like storms for the past 3 hours.. the first of which was a deluge with gales that reminded me of a storm I saw in New Delhi... I've seen nothing like it here before... it was 95F in the garden this afternoon...

Well apparently, Nottingham had hailstones last night. We just had enough spots to wet the garage roof. Nice lightning though. Very humid at the moment, but still not raining.

Sorry to rub it in, but here in the south east, plenty of it around 5pm and more forecast for tonight and tomorrow. The sort that flattens everything down for one day but soon recovers after a few days.

    Have you
    A washed your car
    B washed your windows
    C  put your washing out
    D gone out sans umbrella
E gone out with a hole in your shoe
    F planned a barbecue
    G planned a picnic
H planned a day out at the seaside
I planned to get your roof extension done?

If you have done all of these things to no avail, you have obviously offended the rain gods by complaining about the wet summer last year or the year before or whenever it was.

All evening had storms rumbling around with good amounts of rain. Just heard the first gusty one has brought trees down near Lincoln
