Our forecast is still 6mm in the early hours of Sunday morning but maybe the farmers use a different one cos on the way to and from the concert tonight they were out in force harvesting the winter wheat and baling up and removing the straw too.
Or maybe the harvesters are just booked for another farm tomorrow......

"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
I watched breakfast TV yesterday morning, Carol said short isolated showers possible everywhere, my daughter sent the kids to school with thick coats and no sun cream, she went to chessington for the day, jeans cardi, when she came back it was 25d,, then today longer heavier rain, no we never had anything at all. 15 minutes after Carol, we had Lucy giving us completely different temps for the next few days.
We had heavy downpours for at least an hour yesterday evening and seems to be continuing to rain steadily here in wigan. I hope those not receiving any yet soon will, and feel the same sense of relief and happiness.
Nothing in NE England, we'll be lucky to get drizzle, (we had 2 hours drizzle last week- that was the first rain in 6 weeks) we desperately need rain, my allotment right next to the River Tees (like 20 feet away) has cracks going down 8 inches where i'm not watering!

I wish the clouds would stop fannying about and get on with it.
