Loved tennis but didn’t even look at football.

Been to Worcester for the weekend visiting nieces and bro/sis-in-law. Shattered after all my Aunty-ing! My Sunflowers wilted terribly, despite watering them prior to leaving. I was hoping the garden would be looking on top form as have friends coming tomorrow for afternoon tea. At least the Sweet Peas are out, so can make up a vase of those.

Hope everyone is relaxing this Sunday evening.

Hello all.   :)  Lovely echinops-and-aphid, Chicky!

OH rang me from the rain, outside our cottage in Scotland, enthusing about the silence... happy man... and happy me, because I can tidy the living room while he's away.   ;)

In the garden earlier, I spent some time watching a lot of wasps on my plum tree - not attacking the fruit, which is still green, but collecting plum aphids and flying off with them.

Evening all,  Shattered tonight as I did the Race for Life at Worcester racecourse this morning.  I did the 5k with Merri (we walked most of it).  Firstborn did the 10k run in under an hour.  Think I'll be a tad stiff tomorrow.  Off to see Matilda at Birmingham Hippodrome tomorrow with Secondborn and then a four day Jonah stint.  Don't mind as I wont see him for three weeks while I'm on hols.

I've been watching some tennis and football over the last week.  Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Lovely photo, Chicky - what a colour.

Well I didn't dig up potatoes or garlic after all. Urgent teenage clothes shopping required, which was most ennervating in this heat. Some suitable tour clothes were successfully bought - phew! I'm not very good at teenagers. Mine are comparatively easy, probably, but I still find it difficult.

Sorry you've been Regina-ed, Pat. Very frustrating.

Hope you have fun with your guests, Obxx. Will they wilt, do you think?

Looking forward to hearing your news, punkdoc.

OH is now in Montreal, which is an easier to manage time difference than Vancouver. We'll skype later.

Is anyone else getting a privacy setting bue box at the bottom of the page.  It's really annoying as it's so close to the scroll bar that I keep opening it up by mistake.  Grrr

Guests have arrived and been fed and watered.  Lovely evening - they love the heat which is just as well and the animals have been entertaining too so that's OK.

Tired now so greetings all.  Catch up tomorrow but it sounds as tho all is well.   Good.

Stayed in the Drovers Inn, near Loch Lomond last night. It is a 17th. century pub, that i am sure some of you will know.
They had a great band on and much merriment was had, with several rowdy Scots folk.
Pleased to say I made it to the end of the night in one piece and was still first in to breakfast.
I have not, despite the rumours, completely lost it, yet
