Hello Pat - we crossed posts there. Hope the Panadol is working and you can get some peace and quiet.

I'm sure she'll be fine ... quite an adventure  :)

It certainly is, and an opportunity. I'm sure she'll have a wonderful time. My only two worries are that most of them are sixth formers - she's 14 - and you can tell it's organised with older kids in mind. And it's a punishing schedule - hours and hours of travel every day, very very late nights and odd mealtimes. I do know they'll look after her and she'll have a great time... but I'll do my fretting here while she gets on with it there!

They went to the station in light rain, blustery breeze and dark clouds. It's bright and sunny with blue sky now. I'm going to inspect the garden now.

Anyone care to flag up the organic pest control thread? Looks like an advert to me
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

LG, amazing opportunity for her. She must be really good. 😃
I’m still waiting for the Panadol to work here, but flopped on the lounge and have just watched the last hour of yesterday’s Tour.

Thanks Pat. I hope you have a great sleep tonight. Did OH enjoy the party?

Well the lawn is definitely tinged with green :). However, I now know why we had rain - I forgot to retrieve the garlic that had been drying beautifully under a wire mesh cloche. Shall I  just let it dry out again today (assuming it doesn't rain) then bring it in?

    Morning all.
As riveting as Frances' balcony creations were on GW, I gave up and went to bed at 8.45. Slept like a log for 11 hours!!!!!!
Lots of rain, I think, overnight.
Here's the view from our little terrace facing one way:

    And the other way

I hope @raisingirl got her share in the end.
Haircut beckons so I ought to get myself into gear.
