    Evening all, and night Pat,
Thank you for well wishes and loan of refrigerated van Hosta! 😘  my car is too old for air con too and to top it all the windows have decided to stop opening!!! Not ideal timing! On look out for new car even more important now!
Felt much better this afternoon after resting in cool basement, hubby off work due to sickle cell too so both just had a gentle day, pan fried some fresh haddock, dug new potatoes from the garden and courgettes from the garden fried in butter with some grilled vine tomatoes, friend brought round a bucket of gooseberries from where he works, so now I'm making a fool with them 😋 still no rain or drop in temperature here, Ipswich had the highest in the country today.
Anyone want to join me for a rain dance? I leaving my washing on the line until it works!!!!
Will read back the many pages I've missed after dinner, have a lovely evening all 😊

Evening Dove, yes feeling much better thanks! Back to work tomorrow, hubby may do half day depending on conditions. Extra organised, even planned tomorrow's dinner. Potatoes were lovely Dove but not many considering the size of area. Only enough for a couple of meals but it's helped me re think that area and I think I can have a bigger pond if I move the bbq, compost bin and incinerator bin to where the potatoes were, and put the pond in their place!
Courgettes just keep on coming tho and I picked blueberries today!
Hosta, Spike it's really quite a pretty hedgehog! I saw mine snuffling round the patio last night, it's name is Hebe, she ...but how do you tell the gender of a hedgehog? 😕 is getting big and brave now, she was injured but appears to be in perfect health now 😊 with a very healthy appetite! Haven't seen a slug in months! 😀

Evening all. Glad you and OH are a bit chirpier Wonks.I somehow managed to miss that you were feeling rubbish. The home grown tatties will have helped   ;) Bigger pond sounds good.
Spike is indeed a handsome chap/chapess Hosta. I reckon he/she was just thinking  'Ah, here he is with my dinner. About time too....'
I think I can equal you with cuteness though. Hog junior decide to have a taste of the dead bee I found...

Those stings are a bit chewy...

Not really caught up here, but I'm off to bed - been awake since 5 am. Night all
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
