I thought the Olivia Colman prog was good. I was surprised the little anglo/indian girl came back from India alone. Very often the mother would have come as well, but would have been marked down as nanny or nursemaid.  Not at all surprised at other shenanigans. My GGgrandfather had a couple of children by the "housekeeper". My GGGrandmother was in an asylum. Mind you, I think I would have been after 15 children, and that was just the live ones. After she died a few years later in the asylum, he married the housekeeper, and the tribe kept growing.  Going back a few generations is very interesting. What I thought I knew about family and where they came from, was totally different from reality.  The internet makes it so easy these days to research something like that. We had to do a family tree at school. At the time all I got was three generation, and that was based on oral history.

Someone Hubby knew did a bit of his family tree and although going back 4 or 5 generations they were all from London, the previous generation were from Cornwall !!

Thanks for the Olivia Colman tip .....love a good “Who do you think you are” 😀

Great view Joyce - glad you all had a good time.

My MP is now foreign secretary .....wonder if he will still have time to come and open the junior school fete, or show the pupils round Parliament ??  Hoping latest round of shenanigans means bye bye Boris, but you never can tell with that shower.

Heading into London today - will keep my eyes on the sky just in case I spot the fly-past.

chicklets on tour are having a great time -sending back the most amazing pics.

I spy rain in the forecast for 10 days time....not a lot, but hope they’re right ☔️

Hello everyone. I somehow managed to lock myself out of the foraminifera yesterday, I could read but not post. Thankfully, clever Hubby has given me a new password, so I’m on again.
We’vehad a day in Canberra today for Hubby’s endodontist appt. lunch with son and afternoon tea with daughter. Very glad to be home.
Hosta, Hubby is a keen family tree person and has been digging back for some time. He said you should be glad some of them had been in jail.its easier to track their records 🤭.

    catch up later.
