My Liatris are just coming into flower,  around 2/3’ tall.

    Not " 4 or even 5 feet"?

evening all. 12 hour shift. I'm going to have a cup of tea and a shower. I'll tape Poldark and watch it some other time.

    Hello all!

Good to hear that we are not alone in having blessed RAIN.   :D  We drove home from Scotland yesterday in rain, sometimes torrential - and then it rained here all night and most of the day, gently and steadily.

Scotland was gorgeous.  We were worried there would be no water, but our rainwater tanks were a third full and the spring is still running.  It wasn't dry all the time, but OH managed to get the front door painted, in addition to working on his music, and I got a lot of things clean... but we managed some walks too.  This photo is looking northwards up Loch Linnhe towards Ben Nevis.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Apologies for that blip - I pressed a button I shouldn't have and everything vanished.
Plenty of rain been had here today Hosta, but we're not sharing - sorry  ;) Temps were back to the norm for July - it got to 15 today.
Lovely pic Liri - glad you got the sun while you were here. I don't think Nevis has been very visible in the last couple of days  ;)
It cleared up a bit and I got outside and got on with the birdcage until it came back on again. Arm's kinda sore, but I don't suppose using a drill and jigsaw is very good for it! Hospital on Tuesday so I'll see what happens next.
While I was working on the cage, I had to move the little seed feeder round the corner. The dunnocks were hilarious - they couldn't work out where it had gone!
LP - I don't think there were many views anywhere up here today - judging by the webcams . The Glencoe one was lovely and grey  :D
Watching that Ed Balls prog with a cuppa while doing this [multi tasking ] - looks pretty interesting.

Joyce, that made me laugh out loud. No idea who Ed Balls is though.
    I love the photo Liri.
You all sound pleased with your rain. I wonder when or if we will EVER get some again.

Hello Pat:) and anyone else who's about  :)
its been quite busy outside ... a cormorant calling as it flew over ,then a noisy green woodpecker and then a chap from the water company checking something under the pavement.
@Pat E Ed Balls is a former UK politician who's now doing the rounds of the celebrity TV shows  :/

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
