Haven't seen any new reports yet today. I've come to the conclusion that most political situations are created by politician out for their own ends and financial gain or glory and the real political stuff is too important to be left to bloody politicians and civil servants.
Hot and sunny again today with a light breeze. All very well having OH home again but coffee in bed is a killer for not getting up and started by 7:30 or 8am so I'm off to do some pottering outside and catch up. OH has dug over and weeded (again) the new, temporary strawberry patch and has covered it with weed membrane this time. It's a flowers day tho so I'm off to pot on baby eryngiums and monarda and sunflowers. Will have to distract him with other jobs. Not short of those..........
I hope things are going well in Thailand and other rescue situations. Japan looks a bit grim at the mo too.
Happy Forking everyone.

I quite agree.
Me too. I've said it before and I'll say it again. " there's not one single politician in this country, of any political persuasion , who deserves my trust, my respect or my vote"
Indeed not Hosta, but not all for the same reasons.
That's my point, the leave folk aren't happy, the remain folk aren't happy. Theresa May's success is that everyone thinks they're doing a really rubbish job of it.
Four more of the boys trapped in the cave in Thailand are out. The same team as yesterday did it. I hope they get a good nights sleep before the next try. Exhausting to do it for one shift of around eight hours underground, let alone two or three days running.
The poor tired footballers in Moscow have to have three days recovery time after a 90 minute match.
Afternoon all. Another gorgeous day here. Hope you all doing ok. I don’t usually like to go into details about what I do for a living, but I’m sure some of you know I work in the NHS. I’d rather not say too much about how I am linked to this programme but I recommend that you see it:
It’s on BBC 1 Wales at 9pm tonight, or on iPlayer following the screening. (There is a clip/trailer attached to the link).
I must say that it is moving, upsetting and with plenty of medical ‘scenes’. If you have recently had a bereavement or been a patient or relative in Intensive Care, then this may be a bit too much for you. If you are able to view this in order to see the amazing work the NHS does every day, then please watch. x
Back from a lovely weekend away with daughter and relatives. Adults all said it was great without tv, internet or phones. Children played out in the fresh air from dawn to dusk when they collapsed into bed and fell asleep when their heads hit the pillow.
