That must be a comfort LG. Enjoy your next hot shower. OH has just warm showers in the heat but I still like 'em hot.
Hope Puss perks up Liri. Lovely to have cuddles but not so good when it's cos they're poorly. I need something irresistible to get worming pills down our pair. Fussy doesn't begin to cover it.
We have been to the Mairie for the quarry meeting. Met some new neighbours and the local management of the quarry and were told of their plans for the next 30 years. Double production, go deeper but move their access road to the north and make a new road for us with an environmental tract between that and the quarry. 30 yrs later, quarry becomes a reservoir and nature reserve. Sounds good to me as long as their expansion to the north takes care of any fauna they displace and helps them with new shelter. Apparently there's a breed of toad specific to the quarry now and they'll look after those too.
One neighbour said the quarry was there before her and she won't be there in 30 years. There's positive! The rock is 460million year old volcanic stuff apparently.

A fleeting visit from me, because I've been busy attending to my....hedgehogs! Rubbish pic, but sheer chance I got it [through the bedroom window ]There seems to be two babies Too much to take in here, so apologies to all. Lovely pic Joyce - so glad you had a nice time Thrilled beyond reason for those boys and their coach in Thailand. Simply stunning - what an outstanding effort by everyone. I will try and catch up tomorrow - love to everyone .
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hubby’s Birthday today. It was minus 10 this morning but a nice sunny day now, if a bit cool. No wind thank goodness. We had a quick trip to town this morning and a coffee and slice of something sweet (him, not me).
I’m so glad those kids, coach and rescuers are all out. Hope their health improves, but I’m sure they’ll get top care. I read somewhere that those caves are a popular place for people to explore, but this time the monsoon beat them. Cant imagine anything less pleasant to explore. Give me a sunny beach and little rock pools anytime over enclosed spaces.😳
Morning all/afties Pat - hope you're cosy now. Yes - overground is far more attractive to me too Been awake ages - thrilled about the little hedgehog family. That pic is mum. She was snuffling around in the big border when I went out with daughter to take a quiet look after I put some food out. They have a little nesting area in my wee shady border along the back fence. I discovered a baby yesterday at lunchtime when I watered. I was a bit worried that it was on it's own, but relieved to see mum last night Hope LG enjoys a warm shower today. The quarry sounds very interesting Obelixx. I like the idea that these things have been around for millenia, and will hopefully be so in millenia to come. We might get a little drop of rain today. Hope so. Think Joyce may already have some. It was vaguely trying last night.

Morning Fairy. Interesting about your hedgehog family. I’ve never seen one. Are they related to Moles? I agree about the quarry. Obelixx, is it close to your fence line? Your whole place sounds fascinating with your renovations and garden exploits. 😄 no rain here. The wood heater is a godsend at this time of year.
Ooooo hedgehogs 🦔......great news Fairy, I am very, very jealous.
Very pleased about the cave rescue here too - been glued to the news since Sunday. Tragic that one of the rescuers lost his life in the operation though
Cloudy and cooler here today, but no wet stuff. Garden is looking surprisingly good, it really doesn’t seem to mind the heat as much as I thought it would.
Gotta dash .....places to go, people to see and all that 😊🙃
Good morning all G'day Pat Lovely hoggies Fairy ours are very active at the moment but quite late ... we're usually in bed when we hear them snuffling and pushing their dish around. The cave rescue outcome has been wonderful ... shows what can be done with true cooperation and courage. Bless them all. I think the voluntary practical support from all the people in the region has also been exemplary.
