    Very wise @punkdoc.
I'm sure some time away from the workplace will help focus on what's needed for the future.

OOps posted the following on last months thread by mistake.

Hi folks,  Haven't read back as I only got back from Devon/Somerset/Dorset holiday last night.  Had a wonderful time apart from a message to say that mum had been taken into hospital following a choking attack.  Needless to say in my absence my brother stepped up to the plate drove 1hr to check that mum was OK and well looked after (NOT).  Consequently a 96 year old lady spent 10 hours by herself in A&E with no one to look after and/or speak for her.  GRRRRRR!  I should be used to it by now but it still makes me mad.

I have posted lots of piccies on the garden visit site if anyone is interested.

Put everything you can into the coolest shade you can find Pdoc. As for the rest of it, we'll water it when we do ours  ;)

I've planted the psb amongst the sweetcorn ... no chance of putting insect netting up so I'll just have to keep inspecting it for caterpillars.

Congratulations to OH Dove, sounds like similar to where he was before, lots of perks and staff discounts, job would suit me fine.🙂

i was very chuffed with all the rain we had, stocked up now and should be enough until the next deluge. Couldn’t have wished for a better present.

Congratulations to Dove's OH. I hope it turns out to be just the sort of job he's happy with.

I was going to spend the day alone as OH and our friends had gone off to Cambridge for choir rehearsal. Thought I would do some washing, catch up on emails, go to the village shop, but then the morning got to be a lot more fun. A good friend, came and asked if I wanted to go to Swaffham with her, so I did. She had a couple of errands then we had coffee in a tea room then we had fun looking in antique shops. When we got back I showed her photos of the new Cottage we are buying and she loved it D

Removal man came to do an estimate. He said that as the current cottage is small it will take just one day including the taking apart of beds and sofas to get them through the doors and then they will re-assemble them at the new cottage.

OH rang, they got to Cambridge in good time for the rehearsal. Then all the choir were taken in coaches for lunch in a hotel and a visit to a stately home. Another rehearsal this evening. I will be going to Cambridge with them tomorrow.

    Passed on @Hostafan1  :D

Oh Yvie ((hugs))  ... yes it seems par for the course ... one time a member of staff from the Lovely Home went with Pa and stayed with him in A&E when they couldn't get hold of any of us (I discovered they'd given their own time to be with him B)   <3 ) ... thankfully at other times the Lovely Home were able to contact either me, my brother or my son and we'd hot foot it to A&E to be with him.  It seems that even the most Lovely Homes run on a minimum level of staff and can't spare anyone ...  :/

Sounds like a lovely day BL ... Swaffham is a  smashing little place on a sunny day like today  B)

My Grandad was Swaffham born and bred 😀.

Sorry to hear about your Mum Yvie - hope she’s ok now.  Miserable time for her, and thoughtless of your brother 😡.  Great to hear you enjoyed Devon - will check out your pics in the morning (too 😴 now)

Glad Mr Dove is gainfully employed again - hope it works out well, with nice colleagues.

Good to see you Pdoc - glad Moira has some downtime to enjoy.

Can’t keep my eyes open, so night night to all 😴😴😴
