Rain started as we were having our BBQ had to grab everything and run inside. We can’t remember when that last happened....... and it’s still bucketing!
I will need a machete to get into the garden tomorrow. I pulled all the willow herb that was shoulder height today 😄 next lot will be up tomorrow!

D'you think the Welsh chap will be Welsh if he doesn't win the TdeF, and British if he does.... ;)
When we lived "up country" Guildford based Eagle Radio used to refer to Andy Murray as :
    "Surrey based Andy Murray"
Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, Hosta! 'They' couldn't wait to adopt Froome when they discovered he'd been born here  :D
I think you were getting the rain this morning, LP, when we didn't.   I noticed on the weather report this morning that your part of the world had a 'big rainy blob' over it  :D
Good luck with the willow herb. I hate the stuff...
Has anyone seen the prog 'World's Tiniest Masterpieces'? I've just watched it. Made me cry at the end, even though I knew what he was making. Utterly beautiful.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Looks like the Chinese have won, I now have adverts in Chinese on this site!  They are creeping in.

Lots and lots of watering in the back garden this evening ... took a couple of hours to give everything bar the grass a thorough soaking. Will do the west facing border in the front tomorrow morning. Then we both had a dish of raspberries and ice cream to cool us down.
I fell asleep watching a programme about boating on the Trent, so I've been sent to bed ... night night all ... sweet dreams

It must be the school Summer holidays now as I can hear little people still outside at 9/10pm! I bet all parents are worrying that our Summer weather will disappear now school is out!

Hope all is well - night all.

    Hello everyone.
Glenys, I feel for you. The world seems topsy turvy at the moment. Huge rain in the northern parts of japan and other countries. We still haven’t had any either. The dams are very low, but luckily we don’t need them for any livestock.

thought I would have a wee peek and see if anyone else up.
What on earth do they want in a forum like ours?

Good morning LilyP  :)  and everyone else as you arrive  :)

I had weird dreams, but stayed asleep ... not sure which is best ... waking and knowing it was only a dream or sleeping but enduring the weird goings on ... :)

Flippin spammers ... they're not people, they're automated Bots ... algorhythms that find forums and find a way in ... they don't care who we are ... they can spam at such a rate that it doesn't matter if only a tiny percentage hit their target.  Daniel & Nora will sort them out when they get into the office ... in the mean time we'll drink coffee and soldier on  :)   Help yourselves folks ...

    Morning all.
    Up and about again.
Dare I say, my sleep hasn't been bad of late. I'm falling asleep around 10.30 - 11pm and waking around 5.30 - 6pm. I can live with that.
Sprinkler on now before the pressure drops later.

    Morning all

Glad your sleep is improving Hosta - hopefully you have turned a corner with it.
Early morning pot watering done here too 🌸🌼

Such a beautiful sky out there last night - moon nearly full, and oh so bright 🌌
