This is one of our Wrens. They have blue tails.

Oooh Pat, I haven't seen one like that here in France. Ours have short tails.

Nice cool day, about to prune the grapevine, it's growing all over the living room door and making the room very dark.

They're a lot fancier than our little brown wrens  :)

I'm trying to think of things I can do with 0.5kg of blueberries, the same of black currants and three times that amount of red currants all picked this morning. Given that I have at least the same amount again of both blueberries and black currants still to come. I usually bottle some currants - lovely for a winter pud - but not sure I have enough jars.

I definitely need a bigger freezer. Or a good recipe for low sugar compote

    Evening all.
11 hours today and it's odd to come home and have Hubby here on a Sunday night.
I delivered to this holiday let today.

The house is stunning IMHO but some of the interiors are not to my taste at all. I love the staircase.

Hi folks, Have read back but can't remember much.
Loved the wren annd hedgehog photos Hosta, so cute.
Glad to hear you have your chicklets back safe and sound Chicky.
Have been busy getting ready for hols and looking after Jonah.  Unfortunately I've joined Liri on the injured list, was swinging Jonah and appears of I have trapped a nerve in my back again.  Managed to get some Gaberpentin from the Docs and will just have to hope that I can walk further than 100 yards sooner rather than later.  We fly in the early hours of the morning.  Hope the ankle improves Liri.

Done as much as I can in the garden, the watering system is up and running and I've removed and cut back lots of the flowers so they can regenerate while we are away.

Hoping that Secondborn holds on while we are away.  She has 6 weeks to go so it should be OK.

Hello all.  Busy day hopping round getting ready for Scotland... leg/foot is a bit easier but going down stairs is a bit of a nightmare.

Yvie, hope the travelling isn't too painful, and you manage to enjoy your holiday in spite of your painful back.

So sorry to hear your news, Hosta.

I'll be back on here next week... be good!   :D

Ouch! Yvie ... keep it moving gently ... target a hot shower on the small of your back ... and don't carry anything heavier than a small handbag!!! Have a lovely holiday ((hugs))

Weve been laying on the lawn watching our hedgehog having his supper.  :D
The evening air is so scented with sweet peas, honeysuckle and hosta flowers ... amazing <3

Now I'm snuggling in bed ... sweet dreams all. See you in the morning

    Morning all.
Thank-you all for the kind wishes. It means a lot.
I was sitting watching Poldark last night and I noticed  my little wren friend was bobbing about in the conservatory. I managed to coax him out but have no idea how long he'd been in there. We never open the doors so he must have come in at the other end of the house and worked his way down there. I hope he's not too traumatised by the experience. Mercifully it wasn't hot yesterday.
Hubby off all week. He's promised to "help in the garden" ...... time will tell.
