First husband organist in group called 'Shawls of cripplesquake' but the venue posters were wrongly printed  :D

I saw a band supporting the Stranglers in 1977, called The Skidmarks, they became The Skids, and , I think , later became Big Country.

    All true, @Hostafan1.
I was a fan of Big Country, a fine Scottish band.

Hi still no rain and no forecast of one. I have spent the last week in bed with bronchatis and trying to keep out of grandaughter way.last thing we need i for her to get the flu. Maybe when our family arrives 2 weeks today they will maybe bring us some rain,as long as its dry for the 11 August. We are no longer able to use  council water on our gardens and if the dam levels drop to 15% we will be cut down to 40ltrs a day, the dams stand at 18%..

I too married a bassist. He didn't grow up but stayed an ar*e.
I met the Skids. Had no idea who they were.

Evening all - absent yesterday so no idea what's been happening. I take it the spammers were gaily spamming away though? Don't think I can cope with trying to read back....
Peeing down here for the last hour - hope it lasts a bit longer though. Not cold  - very weird. The rowans are all looking very pretty - berries are all orange, and some are turning red.
Bats have been out at night, and the hogs are stuffing their faces at night so it's all good  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Yes - been very muggy here too Joyce. Bit cooler now that the rain's there properly.
I did see a litttle  bit this morning Dove, but didn't have a lot of time before going to work. PITA  :/  Hope they can find a way to block it properly.
D'you think the Welsh chap will be Welsh if he doesn't win the TdeF, and British if he does.... ;)

When we lived "up country" Guildford based Eagle Radio used to refer to Andy Murray as :
    "Surrey based Andy Murray"
