Cold here, back to jeans tee shirt cardi and socks!  Must say I prefer it, I flag and sag in the heat. Better gardening weather.

That’s a good idea, maybe I’ll cook something, I’m just thinking about getting my fingerless mitts as my fingers are starting to ache already. Was that our summer!

Come on m'luvly, make up your mind. You say you flag in the heat , now you're saying you need gloves. !!!!

I think it's cold if it's under 20C . I'm going to wrap up and cut the grass .

The perfect temperature for me is between 20 and 25 with a nice breeze.  Loverly.  Turkey gets a bit hot, usually in high 30's to low 40's.  51has been the hotest.  Mind you where we go there is usually quite a strong breeze as it's a wind surfing destination.

    Morning all.
Forecast for here to be 18C-21C, dry and sunny until the 19th. Hot enough for me and the garden.

I think I'm happiest between 25C and 28C  but perfectly comfy up to mid 30s for working, and no upper limit if I'm lazing around.

It’s blooming freezing here today, it’s no more than 15c , positively autumn.  Is it hot at yours ?

21C here but grey.  Not dull tho.  Supposed to have got a drenching last night but instead it went up the coast to St Gilles and caused flooding.  OH is out at the hairdresser's and car servicing this pm - not the same places! - so I shall put the sprinkler on while he's not looking so I can get the sunny bed weeded.   Our forecast is grey and damp for the next 10 days.

Been for a raid on France Rurale for 5 big bags of compost so I can pot on babies, clematis and fuchsias and bought some Cos plugs cos my seeds were sown the day before the early hot spell and didn't like it.   Love Cos and it's just the right size and shape for baguette sandwiches too.

Baldy - I shall try your method next time.  Looks like my thorn has snuck out now tho I didn't see it in all the mess.  healing nicely now thanks.

Happy baking Dove.  What're you making?

Hope you warm up a bit, all those feeling cold.  Decided what to do with all the cannas Pdoc?

@Obelixx I'm making some 'Cornish' pasties ... some for us for supper tonight, and I'll take a couple to son tomorrow as he's living on a houseboat with quite minimal cooking facilities ... so a bit of home baking will put a smile on his face.

We like Cos lettuce too ... this year I bought some plugs from the nursery near to MIL when we visited ... I also bought some Little Gem plugs and planted them between the rows of Cos ... it was a good plan as they were ready earlier than the Cos and we're using them while the Cos are filling out.  :)

I sowed Little Gem too Dove.  Same lack of success.   On the other hand, my radicchio did well so we're looking forward to eating that with our own walnuts and blue sheep's cheese - Nigella recipe with a very good dressing.   Was chatting with neighbour Bruno yesterday and he says he's seen wild boar grubbing for walnuts in his other neighbour's garden.  Holiday home so no-one there at harvest time and walnuts all over the ground.   Hope they don't come here!

Pastry is not something I do well.  Haven't really tried since we moved to Belgium and found full butter, ready made and ready-rolled round and rectangular pastry was easy to find.   Not so easy here so I may have another go.   Good with cakes tho.

Have just watched the Daily Politics and now have the news on.  Depressing or what?
