No sign of any rain in our forecasts for the week ahead ...

Since this morning they've updated our weather forecast to include a yellow warning for thunderstorms tomorrow.
I've cut the lower branches from the overhanging trees in the lake and I've cut all the grass under the trees which were cut over the winter. Tricky trying to avoid hidden stumps, log piles, moles hills etc.
Lots of crispy dry leaves on the ground here too.
A load of washing in the machine. That's enough for me for today.
Cuppa then soak up some sun. Yummy , yummy sun.

There's a very silly post from Rob James on the Patio Pplanters theft thread that needs flagging please.

35C out there and hardly any breeze so staying indoors a bit longer.  Some eejit has lit a bonfire so all windows closed.  Good job the sun is high and the walls are thick.

    Afternoon all, night Pat,
Well I've just had a nice surprise!
I've had to embrace online shopping due to working long hours and have just had Sainsbury turn up with one load and Morrison's with the rest. Sainsbury didn't check freshness and got several products wrong, but they didn't hang around to find out, Morrison's everything right but bread was out of date, as a result everything else was checked for freshness, anything with 2 days left on it or less was deducted from bill, two loaves of bread were delivered to me within less than ten minutes of the first chap leaving with a massive box of chocolates for me!! Most impressive! Help yourselves!! 😊

You beat me to it Obs ... I flagged that very unpleasant post and was just going to give a heads up on this thread when Wonky phoned and I got side-tracked by the thought of all those chocolates ... she's not keen on the white ones ... I'm happy to do her a favour by  eating them  o:)

Hi, sorry to hear about wonky oh hope he is feeling a bit better. Has Pdoc left for Scotland yet?. we still have no rain and the council tell us we are to be cut down on water again as it is we have to manage on 50ltrs per person. My OH is improving but still in a lot of pain, we had 2 days where he was waking me up for the bathroom with diahriaa can't spell and i was so tired that on Wed and Thurs I just sat in the chair till i felt better. He now has to walk up the hall into the kitchen 3 times a day to make sure that there is no blood clots. Our grandaughter arrived from China yesterday and 6 weeks to the wedding.  I see on theSky News here that the uk is going to get hosepipe bans but don't know where

Saskatoon Fairy .....she’s well on her way now, but has to change in Toronto.  Had a pic from the Chicklets earlier, they were off to paint the town red 😁.  Chicklet’s “last night” in Adelaide, as they are off to Sydney tomorrow, and when she returns at the end of their adventures all her mates will have headed off home.  I fear there will be tears 😭.  She really has had an amazing year there - she loves your country Pat.

Glad hubby is slowly improving Glenys - sounds like it might take a while.  Hope he is fighting fit by the time the wedding comes around.

Have lounged all afternoon, and very pleasant it was too.  Will head out watering in a bit - wait for the sun to dip behind the trees first 🌄
