Morning all. I’m about to tackle the weed and bramble ‘patch’ at the far end of the garden. You can’t see it unless you orienteer behind some trees but I don’t want the brambles to take hold or scramble to next door etc. I won’t be too fussy about some of the perennial weeds -it can be called a wildlife haven I suppose. Have a good day whatever you get up too.
AR - good luck. We have a strip like that now, all along the boundary between us and the horsey neighbours. OH has now strimmed the rest of the wild area so we can keep it mowed while I decide on spacings for my new trees but we've left a strip for wildlife cos the brambles are all rooted next door.
Joyce - no, he's doing "pivot" charts for Possum. This pm he has a hot date next door to barrow loads of horse poo for our new rose and clem garden, which reminds me, I need to go out and mark the terrace boundaries so he dumps it in the right places.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Bruno has just strolled up hauling a cubic metre barrow of lovely, well-rotted horse poo. Yum yum! Need about 10 more for the new rose and clems garden............

They are indeed. We've just sat having a beer with Bruno (coffee for me) with both dogs and one cat sat listening as we chatted. 4 big barrows of compost now delivered and the terrace area marked out so OH can see where to remove more weeds and work the soil.
He still has to watch the Geoff H DVDs to see how to lay a terrace................ Not doing any soil work of planting till the base is prepared!
