  • I didn't watch the wedding (I was lazing on a beach) but I've seen some news clips since and  I loved what the Queen was wearing and thought it really suited her ... I think it's great that she wears vivid colours and not the old lady pastels her mother always wore ... she always looked as if she'd had a good dusting down with talc.
    Have to agree.

"We may have decided to make them into a soap opera, but they didn't sign that contract."

Yes they did, and it started with Charles and Diana.

Each to their own Dove, (and the Queen Mother would not have taken kindly to your comment about her)  :(

Well, fortunately we both live/lived in times when we were/are allowed to hold and voice our own opinions and not really care what someone we don't know thinks of us and there is no need to be obsequious ... the days of 'off with her head' are long gone  :D

I am a part time Royalist and also a socialist, the 2 not always sitting together easily.
I watched part of the wedding and thoroughly enjoyed it, at least in part because so many people seemed so happy.
I find it sad that a lot of people, and I do think it tends to be women, are so willing to criticise what other women wear / look like.
I believe, possibly naively, that a lot of potential good may come about because of this wedding.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

...  This is what people do nowadays, go with the flow.  :)
I prefer to choose my own path  :)

I'm totally confused by your comments MMM ... one minute you're 'going with the flow' ... the next minute you're criticising those who 'follow like sheep' .........
