I think the Royal family have taken to Meghan. Considering the antics of her family, It would not be surprising if she lost weight after the final fitting.
The Queen usually has a stand out colour. It is so she is easily picked out. As to making her look older, she is 92 FGS
If Kate had worn something new, the focus would have been her instead of the bride. It was not her day, and she tried not to be the focus of attention. I thought Oprah Winfreys outfit looked a tad tight. She doesn't have the excuse of being pregnant.
I'm thinking if you're the designer of the what will undoubtedly be the most viewed dress of the year, you'd have found time in the final days to alter it. Isn't that the whole point of "couture"? IMHO. I'm not fan of the "Royals" and their own antics leave much to be desired. Don't forget Charles was having an affair with Camilla before, during and after his marriage to Diana.
I loved Millie’s post above, just shows what the family think of them. Had Charles been to bed in that suit the night before. i didn’t watch the wedding, not interested. I have watched all the others from Princess Anne’s first one.

Why is there this obsession with female appearance? Worse still, some kind of desire to think there will be a kind of rivalry? I always thought this was something the media forced onto people, but it now seems to have caught onto others. A shame really when it's not even news, just idol gossip and when you break that down, what is it all about? Nothing but second-guessing about someone based on appearance.
Hostafan1, I take your point about the attire when commenting about clothes, and it's perfectly fine to discuss design and fitting, down to colours and shapes, but appearances also included an interest on Botox and even down to the feet area. I would say that is a bit obssessive interest in women and their appearance.
It's almost as if women will be judged on how their hair will be, their feet type and their need to stay youthful, hence the Botox reference. Then there is this imaginary rivalry that I think had been pushed by the media for years. Without really knowing, it's like we have accepted it is fact.
There was a load of nonsense yesterday about who in the royal family has to curtsy to whom. It's the 21st Century for goodness sake. How about the Monarch and everyone else gets nowt? no bows, no curtsying? I'd cut the "family" down to Monarch and next 4 in line, the rest can go out and get a job, take out a mortgage , rent a house just like the rest of us. No "grace and favour " homes for ladies in waiting etc once they retire. State pension like the rest of us. Furthermore I'd move them out of Buck House over to Windsor and take some of the Nation's treasures out of storage and turn Buck House into a world class Museum / Gallery to rival The Hermitage in St Petersburg.
