Steephill that *would* be odd, but a good thing to do. Take a picture of the cherubs.
Obxx are your new friends French? And are they new there or new to you (if you see what I mean)?
A good day today, altho a bit all over the place. I made it to that plant sale which was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect - thought it might just be tons of bedding plants. But it was the gorgeous back garden of a big Victorian house, full of beautifully grown plants in groups around the lawn / in the greenhouse: mainly perennials, climbers and herbs. Plus drinks and cakes in their conservatory. It was heaving with people, all very jolly. Next year I'll go with a list. And no, I didn't need any plants but couldn't resist a salvia, pulmonaria, cosmos (at least I think it's a cosmos, I might be back checking on that - the label fell off) and a fabulous akebia quinata.
Then off to a church coffee morning, back home, readied the bean supports and bed, and cooked a couple of Jamie recipes. Didn't watch the wedding but was curious to read so much about the Episcopalian sermon so we looked for that (which I thought was awesome) and ended up watching the whole ceremony!
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
Gosh, I got distracted while typing and suddenly Yvie, Liri, Pat and Fidget appeared! Not used to so much activity on here at this time of night. Hello.
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
LG - All our new friends here are French tho OH has a new Scots friend (French wife) at golf and there are a few other Brits, Irish and Belgians he's met too. All the patchwork ladies are French and, so far, all the garden group people are too. There's a British couple round the corner but I've never seen them. OH has met them for a chat but that's all.
Love a good plant sale and it's great when there's something tempting even if you don't "need" it.
Liri - good finger sock. Pat - hope your feel better soon.
Bedtime here - early start tomorrow to get to the first of 3 garden visits. Sweet dreams all.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

@Obelixx, nope , Hubby doesn't bake either. He did manage the delicious courgette , pistachio and sultana cake recipe which Dove sent . It was so good he even bought courgettes when we had run out. I was rather hoping he'd found a "hobby", but it seems to have passed by now.
Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. Up to take daughter to work.... CLoudy and cool today, but we can't complain and it looks like next week is to be quite settled, so I might manage a hill after work one day. Of course I'll now have to cancel my physio and also my hospital appointment as they're both on Tuesday - when I have no car. Typical... Good finger puppet Liri! How is the studying going LG? I'm sure you've said and I've missed it as I haven't been on here so quite so often and I struggle to catch up....or remember everything ...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi Fairy. Yes I’m here, but we’ve been driving around the back to check if any trees have fallen on our fences with the strong southerly we had last week. luckily, nothing big has fallen.
Ooh - hope you have no damage Pat - trees or yourselves! We're supposed to get some rain later today Hosta, but the forecast has been chopping and changing every day about it. We were menat to get some on Tuesday, but it didn't come to much. I hate to say it - but we could do with a little, as long as they remember to turn it back off now and again. It's been unusually dry here. Hope work goes well. Daughter only does till 12, but it's from 7am, and we don't get home till about half 9 or so on Saturday night by the time she finishes. I'm already on the third cuppa and have trimmed some ivy from round the gate....
