Hi everyone. Worn out this evening. yes. Chicky and Plant Pauper. I might have to suggest that name. What’s the bet if I typed that in again, it would come out the right way. Obelixx, I’ve driven from Darwin to Adelaide by road but not been on the Ghan. I’m also looking forward to see what Michael finds of interest enroute to Perth. There’s not much there. They don’t call it the Nullabor for nothing. Maybe the mining town of Kalgoorlie. 😀 Possibly Port Augusta.
Time for The Voice(Australia), Love Boy George. He always makes me laugh.
Our greenhouse staging is cast off stainless steel units from Mr C’s work kitchen - rescued from the skip ten years ago. Brilliant things. Good luck getting your find home Hosta (can’t you sneak it into a home delivery van .....or would that be too cheeky )
Funny you should say that chicky. The carcass is all steel with the wood effect stuff over the the top. It weighs a ton. I'm going to take the cup dispenser off the top and fit a rim round it and line it for compost. I'll show the after when it's done. I've even got a bin to go in the right hand cupboard so I can chuck " compost " bits straight into it. I'm a very happy bunny, and I've saved Waitrose the cost of a skip. Win win. Do I get womble points @WonkyWomble ? When Hubby saw it: " we're never going to be able to lift that" When he saw the inside of the van: " That's never going to fit in there" When we got it in: " we'll never get it out at home" Don't you just love a " can do " attitude?
Had to come in to get cool. 28C and no breeze is a bit too hot for working in but I've managed to get the bed round the well sorted out. Weeds out, compost in, saved bulbs re-planted and now to find some ground cover that likes hot and dry.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

My OH is well trained ... he's disinfecting the bird feeders so they can dry out in the sunshine ... I've made him some lovely cheese and tomato sandwiches for lunch
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just popped in to cool off after edging the lawns and weeding. I've removed about 20 water soldiers from the pond, and another bagful of forget me not. Once the lawns are mowed this afternoon it will look lovely. Still haven't found a home for my new rose though. Enjoying a nice tuna and sweetcorn salad and a glass of orange and soda. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.
Great bird bath photo from Pat. Glad to read that DD is happy.
The granddaughters got out the paddling pool yesterday, it was so warm. They are at school now, bank holiday in France is tomorrow.
Another lovely sunny day today. Son and I have been working in the garden. I have dug up a large barrowload of creeping buttercups from a bed, dug in compost, planted cosmos and Rudbeckia Cherry Brandy and watered it all. Too hot now, I've stopped but son is finishing off his bit then we are going to the local SM.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I’m glad you liked the photo of the kangaroos BusyL. I couldn’t resist snapping them. Hosta, Priscilla, eh! Excellent movie. Even I sat through it, and that’s rare.😀
