It's been gorgeous out there ... the birds are singing so loudly ... maybe they thought there wasn't going to be any more decent weather.  I've been planting out all the things that languished in their pots after my accident last year ... they're going to be much happier ... I've also potted on some that are staying in pots until the pergola is up (long story)  and of course I've been laying on my tum gazing into the pond, watching and listening to the pond snails, watching a male common newt and being watched by half a dozen frogs who were sunning themselves in the water and among the long grass at the side.

Now the first Campari and soda of the summer is being taken  B)

    It's that time of year.
Mrs Canada goose has 4 babies.
Mrs Mallard 1 has 4 babies, but Mrs Mallard 2 has a whopping 11 babies.

Sounds good Dove. I've done a bit too, although the sun didn't come out till about 5pm.
I was about to go out after a cuppa, and I saw the robin having a bath, so I waited and watched him/her. The spouse then turned up with some bugs in his/her beak and they skittered about and sat on the screen for a while before flying off. The male sparrow turned up for a bath, and then a siskin appeared briefly, which was lovely. First one I've seen here. Lovely little ten minutes  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

We've waited a long while for this haven't we? B)

In fact, thinking about it I don't think  I've done any laying on my tum gazing into the pond since the summer of 2016 because of my broken foot last summer.

Hi folks,  Had a really busy week with Nanna and Polling duties.  Have managed to read back and catch up.  Have been busy in the garden today, part gardening and part looking after Jonah (we had a lovely time playing with the hosepipe and various buckets.
I'm planning lots of gardening and relaxing over the next two days so I hope the weather stays nice.

Hi everyone - hope you are all enjoying being out in the garden.
I feel like I have been given a tonic after a day pottering outside. Made an executive decision re my two Jasmines that had been on ‘death row’ since the snow - execution day arrived today, along with the destruction of the old (broken) trellis one was feebly hanging on too.  The first spot has been allocated to my Clematis Mrs Bateman, but will need something for the other spot...
    Take care one and all.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

    Morning all.
Last night's sea mist is still hanging on but it looks like it's going to be another lovely day.
Awake since 5 and coal face duties at 8.
Hubby still fast asleep but the birds are very much up and about.
    Devon.

Good morning Hosta  :). It's lovely out there isn't it ... I've just been wandering barefoot in the dew in my nightie while waiting for the kettle to boil.
Hope you have a good day.  Are you driving?

I'm going to pop a chicken in the oven this morning and make a potato and chive salad so we can have cold chicken salad on the terrace for supper. Then I shall pot on some courgettes for Wonky  and plant ours out under a plastic cloche and cross my fingers.
