It's always busy at this time of year Dove, but the problem isn't just with some of the customers.... :#
I bet the police and the motorists enjoyed that  :D
Very overcast and thundery looking here - but we still haven't had any rain. It's supposed to happen tomorrow. The garden will benefit enormously from it.

Hello back on now after a glorious week with gd.  Our HK born, Moscow and now London
little one has been to her first agricultural show, planted lots of seeds, harvested herbs and can almost steer the tractor unaided.  Lovely to see her enjoying such freedom
off to read back, will probably take me a week!
    hope everyone is well

Just had dinner in the garden with a nice gass of wine.  It's lovely here, no storms yet and the humidity is a bit better.  Lots of work done in the garden, but not much indoors.

Never heard of magnesium sulphate but will go and see what the pharmacy has to offer in that line when we do our weekly shop tomorrow.  We haven't gone to dance class this evening cos it's the one OH holds in his left paw for all those twirls in rock and cha-cha and Paso and so on and I need my thumb for sowing and sewing and putting up tomato supports and everything really.

Good that your GD has had a good week LP.    Great to see kids having fun.   Possum has gone home today but has had problems.  We booked her train tickets ages ago but then had to change the day to come here cos of the rolling strikes.  This led to SNCF not sending us the return ticket which didn't change.  Why we can't just print that off like the other one is anyone's guess.  Got to the station today and woman says she can't issue a ticket to Brussels, only to Paris, despite our having all the paperwork.  Had to pay again too.   Fine.  Possum then found she couldn't het all teh way from Montparnasse to Gare du Nord because they're working on that line so got off one stop early to walk with large suitcase and no escalators.  90 minutes till her train so do-able.

Sent from one help desk to another with enormous queues and more fuss and got her ticket in time to miss her train by 1 minute.   She has ended up on the next TGV train in 1st class as there were no more seats available.  Very comfy journey to Brussels, thank you.   Should be back in Namur by 10pm.   OH and I are going to have fun claiming all that back!

FG - maybe put your boss in a closed room with all the eejits who call at the last minute.
Hosta - don't blame them.  Yvie - that sounds lovely.   With any luck that'll be us in the next few days as we are expecting some sun between storms.  Dove - in my experience police are not the best at getting sheep and cows herded up and safe.  Maybe it should be pat of their training in rural areas.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Good evening. Just reading back - always start with Forkers. A mixed bag of weather and fortunes from you all.
Loving your waterlillies Hosta - mine are slow this year, the leaves seem quite small.
I’m just looking out of the window, watching the rain bounce off my white sandals - oops! The garden looks lush and clean after a few heavy downpours though.

Obelix - I just read your post re your thorn/nail. A 'guid poultice' is what you need! My mum swore by sugar and soap. I often did bran poultices. Marvellous stuff   :)
Very painful though - almost as painful as your family travel issues. 21st century and all the technology at our fingertips and the advances in transport, yet we don't seem to have 'travelled' far at all.
The problem is that the boss sometimes answers phone or email re an order, and we know nothing about it , until we get the phone call or email  'can you tell me when I'll get my rosettes? The show's this weekend....''
AuntyR - that's what you get for having white sandals..... :D
