28.4C here Hosta ... and it still feels really warm and muggy. Fireworks in the distance for the end of a music festival ... son will pop in tomorrow after he's deconstructed the sound system.
For now i was unable to stay awake for Lear and have been sent to bed ... Night night all ...

Thought it wasn’t that warm...until I arrived in the bedroom - too late to change the duvet for a thinner quilt now as OH is “comfy” apparently 🙄
Oh Hosta - must have missed the lady ferns comment earlier - 😵
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Feeling muggy here too.  Big light show, some thunder and 2cms of rain promised in the next couple of hours.    Down in the Charente area Cognac has had devastating storms and their grape harvest has been wiped out again.   That'll put prices up.........  Good job we don't like it.

Too tired to cope with Shakespeare but just watching the news before heading for bed.   Italy looks like it's having some fun.

AR - we have so many toms I've told OH I may need another freezer.  Can't make that much passata.

I can see I need to be more careful what I write in future...   :D
Clearly I'm too innocent for my own good.   o:)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Morning all.
I made the effort of turning my work phone off entirely this weekend; place your bets on how many missed calls / emails I'll find. I'm rather dreading it - seeing as how I know other services run a skeleton crew and so it seems to fall to "oh they're volunteers they'll do it any time" but I needed the break for my own sanity.

Other half starts the commute to the office today; increasing his travel time from 40 minutes a day to nearly two hours (total). It's going to be interesting to see how he expects things to change at home. Fortunately I go back to my reduced hours at the end of June (and down to two roles instead of three) so I'll have more time. Goodness knows I need it: the garden alone is trying it's hardest to become a nature reserve.

    Have a good week everyone!

Very misty and muggy here this morning.  Looks like the clouds are sitting on the trees.  We had just one of the 2cms of rain forecast but that still brings us up to 170cms since mid December which is double an average year ad kind of makes up for what we missed in the 17 month drought before it.

I have a builder and 2 plumbers playing in the new shower room which has Bonzo barking so I took him and Rasta up to wake up Possum.   5 minutes of cuddles and bouncing and play and she's up having a shower already.  Must remember that.   Takes at least 30 minutes and more with just me or a kitty.

Sewing for me then till it all clears a bit and then gardening while the weeds are easy to pull.

Clari - does OH have a new job or just anew office location?   Can he not work from home some days?   Well done for turning off your phone.   Hosta is just smutty.  Behave yourself young man!   Liri - I have one fern here so far but bought a painted fern to try cos I love the subtle colours.  I'd be very pleased to have hart's tongues and so on appear.

Hello to all yet to appear.   Have a lovely day everyone.
