There used to be some wallabies running (jumping) around  Derbyshire. They escaped from Riber zoo near Matlock.  Motorists used to phone the police to say they had seen Kangaroos bouncing along the roads. Now would you like to blow into this bag sir, and how many did you say you have had to drink.
I liked the scene in Crocodile Dundee, where the kangaroos appeared to machine gun the baddies.

When I was very small we lived on a farm on the edge of the Woburn estate ... we had wallabies, muntjac, (pretty unusual then) and Pere David's deer helping themselves to the crops.

It must be strange to see wallabies roaming around the UK countryside, though Fairy. 😳

Hi folks, no wallabies or kangaroos here.  What a gorgeous day, the washings on the line and I've already tidied out the shed (only went in there to find the pegs).  Thinning out of grape hyacinths and forget me not planned for later, but first poached eggs on toast and a cupp to consume.  Have a lovely day everyone.

OH made us a lovely lunch ...  he made smoked mackerel paté and served it with a salad of ripe avocado, tomatoes, radishes, cucumber and the potato salad leftover from yesterday ... delish.

There's a roasted chicken cooling in the kitchen and  another big dish of potato and chive salad has been made so all we have to do for supper is tip out a bag of ready washed lambs lettuce and pour a glass of wine.

This afternoon will be mostly laying on the sun lounger with a good book and a Campari and soda cocktail  wave

Has anyone seen the strange shadow on the moon the last couple of nights? Don’t know what it means.
    Bed time here.

The sun lounger, good book and Campari & soda scenario was achieved all afternoon  B)

We've just eaten our cold chicken and potato salad and  OH has washed up  <3

Pat, don't think our view of the moon is the same as yours ... you see it the other way up to us don't you ...http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/moon/hemispheres.html

They're on one of the islands in the loch Pat. You can go across on a boat to them, but it's not something I've ever done   :)
Glad you had a nice lazy sunny day Dove. I think it was lovely here, but it was Claggy McClagface on the hill unfortunately. Still, really good to be out, and I managed to come down the conventional way and not on my face ..... :D
Can't really be bothered with having anything to eat...could do with losing a few pounds anyway, but I probably should have something. Chuck us over some chicken if there's any left....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Glad you enjoyed your outing Fairy....good to get back in the saddle so to speak.

Too hot for gardening today, so I sat in the garden and read instead.  Lovely treat, should do it more often.

Think we might go for one of our hidden London walks tomorrow - back to Portobello road, as we only got halfway round that one last time.

pile of muck on the driveway is about 2/3rds diminished - Mr C works even in heatwaves.

Just seen Arsene Wenger’s last hurrah - I’m glad they let him go with some dignity.⚽️

    Evening all.
Just 11 hours today. Lovely inland and still 20c when I got back to store at 18.30,but sea mist in Bude and only 11.5C.
Hubby is a little pink so methinks he's done more sunbathing than he's admitting to.
I've been offered a "unit" from the coffee shop which will make a great potting bench, complete with a hole to one side with a cupboard underneath to keep a bin. Just got to find some way of getting it home now. I keep forgetting I don't have a big van any more.
